Do your products have hallmarks?
This depends on the material:
Sterling Silver:
Yes — all solid sterling silver pieces are hallmarked, as required by UK law.
Gold-Plated Sterling Silver:
Yes — these pieces are also hallmarked where applicable, since sterling silver is a precious metal.
Gold-Plated Brass Jewellery:
No — these pieces do not carry a hallmark, as brass is not a precious metal and does not qualify for hallmarking under UK regulations, regardless of weight.
Are your pieces hypoallergenic?
Stainless Steel: Hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.
Sterling Silver & Gold-Plated Sterling Silver: Often suitable for sensitive skin, but if you're unsure, we recommend patch testing by wearing the piece briefly and checking for any irritation.
Gold-Plated Brass: These pieces are not hypoallergenic. If you have metal sensitivities, we recommend choosing from our stainless steel or sterling silver ranges.
How should I care for my jewellery?
18k Gold-Plated Jewellery
Avoid contact with water, sweat, perfumes, lotions, and cleaning chemicals.
Remove before showering, swimming, or exercising.
Store in a dry, cool place — ideally inside the cotton pouch provided with your order.
Gently polish with the included cloth to maintain shine and finish.
Stainless Steel Jewellery
Fully waterproof and tarnish-resistant — ideal for daily wear.
Safe to wear while showering, swimming, or exercising.
Store separately to prevent minor surface scratches.
Sterling Silver Jewellery
May naturally tarnish over time — this is completely normal and easily restored.
You can gently polish away tarnish using the included cloth
For deeper tarnishing, use a silver-safe polish or a gentle dip solution (avoiding gemstones).
Always dry the piece thoroughly after cleaning.
Store in the cotton drawstring pouch provided to reduce exposure to air and moisture.
Do your products come in gift packaging?
Yes! Every item is packaged in our signature cotton drawstring pouch, perfect for both gifting and storage. Orders are shipped in matte black padded mailers for a sleek and protective unboxing experience.
Each order also includes a polishing cloth, suitable for maintaining your jewellery. Care instructions are provided with all sterling silver and gold-plated items. Stainless steel items do not come with care cards, as they are waterproof and tarnish-resistant by design.

Can I add a gift message to my order?
Yes! You can include a personalised gift message at no extra cost. Just enter your message in the "Gift Message" box at checkout. It will be printed on the packing slip inside your parcel.
Will prices be shown on the invoice?
No. We never include pricing details on our packing slips, so your order is gift-ready by default. The recipient will only see item names and your message (if added).
How do I place a return or exchange?
30-Day Return Policy: You have 30 days from delivery to return an item if you’re not completely satisfied.
Return Shipping: A flat return fee of £2.70 applies to all returns. This cost is deducted from your refund total. Once your return is approved, you’ll receive a prepaid Royal Mail 48 label to print and use.

If Royal Mail is not suitable for your return, please contact us via hello@shopaurea.co.uk and we’ll be happy to help arrange an alternative.
Condition: Items must be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging to be eligible for return.
Faulty Items: If your item is faulty, please contact us directly at hello@shopaurea.co.uk so we can assist you personally.
Refunds: Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
